Food
Outside of the primary season, it is easiest to get hold of food at:
- The grocery stores in Eidsdal, Norddal, and Geiranger – if you arrive late in the evening, it is wise to bring a “starter kit” of food
- The café at the Norwegian Fjord Centre in Geiranger is open primarily during daytime all year round
- Union Hotel in Geiranger is mostly open
- You can request food delivery at “Vien mat”: Kirsti Indreeide, tel. +47 906 67 656
- Brasserie Posten, Geiranger has an extended season and is often open during winter
Worth checking out
If you would like to do something outside the primary season, check out:
- Melchiorgarden, Norddal. Farm sale and occasional café/pub
- Geiranger Brewery
- Brasserie Posten, Geiranger – excellent food, also during autumn and spring
- Union Hotel in Geiranger – accommodation, restaurant, swimming pool, and spa are open most of the year.
- Geiranger Gallery. Substantial gallery with arts and crafts
- The second-hand store “Bruktbua Røde Kors” in Eidsdal
- The sewing and knitting store “Roggbif sy og strikk”, Eidsdal
