The mountain farm Hallstadgjerda is steeply situated 300 meters above sea level, with an open view over the Storfjorden and the village Norddal. Here, the owners run an organic sheep farm with unbroken traditions in terms of operation and craftsmanship.

Gjæra welcomes groups to the farm and offers experiences and storytelling around crafts and tradition. Some examples are hay-drying on racks, sheep round-up, wood works, block printing, flatbread baking, meat curing etc. Now, you even have the opportunity to live and work here for a shorter or longer period while enjoying nature and experiencing what it is like to live and run a farm.
